A topical numbing is applied for 15-30 minutes before your treatment. Ultra is performed by using a handpiece that is rolled across the treatment area – the overall discomfort level is dependent on the intensity of the treatment; however, tingling and a feeling of heat are expected and should be quite tolerable.
Ultra is a no downtime treatment –normal activities can be resumed directly following treatment. It is expected to have redness immediately following which will subside in the first 24 hours. Afterwards, the skin has a dry, sandpaper-like texture which will naturally exfoliate over the following week, revealing fresh, clear skin.
Ultra is recommended to have a series of treatments a month apart and may be continued as desired. Dr. Hoffmeier will be able to recommend a treatment regime to advance your skincare goals.
