Chemical Peels
Chemical Peels are a staple treatment in skincare treatments. One of the foremost and simply treatments available, Chemical Peels use specifically selected acids for controlled exfoliation and may treat specific skin conditions like acne, hyperpigmentation, anti-aging and redness-prone skin.
Our staple chemical peel line is Glytone Enerpeel, which offers multiple acid choices to treat even the delicate skin of the eyes and lips. FAQ
Chemical peels help remove damaged skin cells, allowing healthy skin to take its place to reveal brighter, smoother and renewed skin. We recommend a chemical peel package to treat initial concerns every 4-6 weeks and then follow up peels as desired.
The chemical peel treatment begins with a cleanse of the skin. Our estheticians will use a fan brush or gloved hand to disperse the acid treatment serum on the skin for the designated amount of time per acid type – A neutralizing solution will be used to neutralize the acidity before removing the remaining product. Following the peel, post treatment products will be applied. Chemical Peels are meant to tingle and may have a slight burning sensation, any intolerable burning will be neutralized immediately.
The post-treatment peeling is dependent on the type of chemical peel selected. Some peels are meant to have the majority of peeling occurring during the treatment, while others will experience peeling, dryness and redness following. The peeling is acid-specific with the stronger acid percentages having increased peeling post-treatment – all post-treatment peeling is able to be covered by makeup but is strongly recommended to be allowed to peel autonomously without manual exfoliation.
