Aquagold is a dermal infusion technique that uses 24K microneedles to deliver serums directly into the layers of the skin. Microneedling – or collagen induction therapy – uses the human body’s natural healing process to increase the collagen and elastin present in the cellular matrix of the skin. Aquagold uses this concept creating microchannels which allowing for the direct delivery of other molecules pertinent to skin-health and anti-aging which are otherwise difficult to penetrate the skin ie. Hyaluronic Acid, Platelet-Rich Plasma, etc.

Aquagold is ideal as both a preventative, enhancing skin care treatment and a therapeutic treatment ideal for those who show slight signs of aging – lines, fine wrinkles and lack-luster skin. It is an ideal option for those looking to increase the plumpness, shine and structure of the facial skin.

A topical numbing is applied for 20 minutes prior and the serum is mixed based on the needs of the client. Once the treatment starts, the aquagold treatment car is stamped into the face with as much overlap as possible. The treatment takes about 30 minutes.

There is no-downtime associated with aquagold. We recommend refraining from working-out (sweating) or applying makeup for 24hr post treatment to allow for the channels created to close. Possible side-effects include redness and slight swelling but should resolve itself within 48hr of the treatment.

Most patients see results with just 1 treatment that lasts up to 6 months. Occasionally, a second treatment may be recommended pending the integrity of the skin – very dry, heavier wrinkles, etc.

Aquagold is different from our other microneedling treatments by the delivery of serums with the active ingredients straight into the skin. Combining filler, botox and hyaluronic acid and delivering them through the 24K needles allows the skin to soften and plump, pores to shrink and only requires 1-2 treatments per year.
