Once numb, the SkinPen treatment tip is glided over the skin surface in multiple layer directions – the treatment should take 15-30 minutes in totaling depending on the treatment area.
SkinPen is a low-downtime treatment – allowing for normal activity to resume the following day.
When leaving your SkinPen treatment it is expected to have redness with the feel of warmth, similar to a sunburn – a small amount of blood is possible to be seen and left of the skin; these are your natural stem cells, we leave them be! The redness and sunburn feeling will reside over the following 24-48 hours.
Skinpen is recommended to have a series of 3-6 treatments one month apart and additional treatments once every 9-15 months following for maintenance.
